Ashland, Wisconsin, is located along the northwest shore of Lake Superior. The city, known as "Lake Superior's Hometown," has a distinct and compelling history. The Ashland Mural Walk, through 6 blocks of downtown, portrays the history of the community. The Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce (www.visitashland.com) has information about the many attractions in the area. Recreation opportunities such as biking, birding, camping, fishing, snowmobiling, and seeing the area waterfalls are also included on their website.

Lake Superior Suites is only a short walk from Kreher Park, excellent dining, and Ashland's Historic Mural Walk.

Home of Northland College and a variety of special events throughout the year, Ashland has something for everyone. Photographers and hikers will take great delight in the area parks, waterfalls, and natural wonders.
